All Day Dining Temptations at TEMPTationS, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur

First and foremost, I am a woman. A typical one at that and can be quite undecisive and picky, especially when it comes to food. I never considered eating as just a form of necessity to keep me alive, but I consider it as an art, something to be taken seriously. And when I say taking things seriously, it means that I won’t just shove just about anything into my mouth just because I’m hungry. The food needed to be good. But of course, it is not easy to decide on what to eat whenever I dine out, as sometimes when the mood strike, I want just about everything; from East to West, and almost everything under the sky.

Lucky for me, I’m living in Malaysia. A country that is pretty much a global village when it comes to food. We have almost every culinary delights that originates from all corners of the world.

TEMPTationS has revamped its Indigenous and International Flavors in a Brand New All Day Dining Menu recently to offer a more exciting dining approach with delicious new dishes. And here’s recommending some pretty cool ones from TEMPTationS, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur.

With my host Mr. Yvo van Dijk, Director of Food&Beverage Renaissance KL.

Here’s some all-time favourite classics given new breath in the newly revamped menu; pizzas, pastas and burgers.

Niscoise Salad (RM39.00) is a salad that originated in the French city of Nice. Made from tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, Niçoise olives, anchovies, and dressed with olive oil. Pretty refreshing and highly recommended to those who wants some light bites.

Tagliatelle Turandot (RM49.00) is basically seafood pasta with fresh tomatoes and olive salsa sauce. Generously strewn with mussels, prawns, fish and squids, the pasta is not just comforting but satisfying on the tummy as well.

Supreme Chicken Breast RM46.00. Grilled chicken breast served with polenta cake and a side of corn demi-glace.

Hainan Chicken Rice (RM42.00). Hainanese chicken rice is a dish adapted from early Chinese immigrants originally from Hainan province in southern China. It is considered one of the national dishes over here in Malaysia, consisting of fragrant buttered rice, poached chicken slices, blanced kailan and served with a bowl of clear chicken soup and a side of ginger paste, chilli sauce and dark soya sauce dipping. If you are a lover of chicken dish and comfort food, I doubt you will find another local dish that celebrates both quite so thoroughly in such a wholesome way.

Rendang Pizza (RM44.00). A new addition to the American style 10 inch pizzas is the handmade Rendang Pizza, generously topped with chunky chicken rendang, pepper, pineapple and bean curd as well as a dash of bird’s eye chili for an added punch on the palate.

R Burger (RM48.00) was constructed from 200 gm of Angus beef patty, aged cheddar, beef strips, lettuce, tomato slices, dill pickles. It was served in a bed of seeded buns and a side of fries. Burger fans should not miss this. It was perfection incarnate and simply delicious. Worth every single calories gained, I assure you.

R Cheesecake (RM39.00). The cheesecake came with vanilla chantilli and coconut tulle alongside with refreshing mango salsa on the side. Guaranteed to satisfy anyone with sweet tooth.
