Chin Swee Caves Temple at Night

In my previous posting on Chin Swee temple, I’ve shared the history of it and how it looks like during the day. If you thought it is beautiful during the day, then you will be amazed on how eerily picturesque it looks like at night.

I have always been curious on how a temple looks like at night, and so, I begged my husband to accompany me to walk around in Chin Swee Temple after the nightfalls. He didn’t exactly agree in the beginning but during our drive down from the peak of Genting Highlands, we stopped by Chin Swee Temple as it was raining cats and dogs and driving was terribly dangerous as the visibility was very low.

So, here’s sharing with you how the the temple looks like at night, just after the rain.

The pagoda, all lighted up but it is not open to public at night.

Stairs and gateway to the Sky Terrace where there is pathway to the Heaven and Hell Realm. My family and I decided to take a stroll up for a little while and was amazed on how one place could look so different in the dark.

Darkly breathtaking view from the rooftop.

Here’s a video of Chin Swee Caves Temple at Night. Sorry for the noise and the quality. It was freezing cold and I wasn’t in the mood to comment much about it.

The view in the temple is breathtaking regardless day or night. Do give it a visit.

Looks so cultural and astonishingly beautiful, I hope that one day I get the chance in my life to visit your beautiful country.

Go to the temple, pray pray pray.. HUAAAT AAAAH!!!! ….

Actually, the only time I go there is if my tyres suffer a puncture when I test my car on the genting stretches at night and i needed a place to park without being disturbed by the authorities. HAHAHA

saw a lot of folks already written about this temple.

quite a number of people who go up genting go here, for luck and prosperity i presume.

I actually stayed there before, room is comfy and clean. The food is nice, albeit a tad too “flavourful”. Maybe they should cut down the flavouring a bit.

September 2022, hotel is super basic and one can tell that it’s old and needs major overhaul. Currently some parts of the place is under renovation. I guess Covid hit it hard. Faced some issues when staying here:

    1. Renovation work until 10pm, very loud, very near some rooms and is a safety issue for lone female travellers
    2. Hot water for bathing is limited
    3. No hot water kettle
    4. No water provided in the room
    5. Only bath soap no hair shampoo (ladies bring your own)
    6. No hairdryer
    7. No towels
    8. No WiFi for you high tech ppl out there, luckily Starbucks exists
    9. Front counter is only open from 8am – 5pm. Check in is at 3pm…no way to contact anyone for emergencies in ur room at night. Wish they had someone at the counter 24hrs
