Guilt-free Ramadan Feast with O Brien’s

I was invited for a food review/ Ramadan blogger gathering by Foodpanda crew last week. This time around, it’s at O’ Brien’s Irish Sandwich and Coffee.

O’Briens has been in Malaysia since 2002 and has grown from strength to strength, beginning with the first outlet in Great Eastern Mall and growing to the current 11 outlets in the Klang Valley, inclusive of Damansara Heights UOA II, Menara OCBC, Menara Weld Shopping Centre, The Curve, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Suria KLCC, Menara Prudential, Sunway Pyramid, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Midvalley Megamall and Subang Empire Shopping Gallery.

This is one of the place where hardcore sandwich lovers like me will definitely love. I’ve always loved sandwiches. It’s great wholesome meal to take when you’re busy or on the go.

Sandwiches are made upon orders to retain the freshness and coffee lovers will discover that coffees are freshly brewed over here.

Take a look at these… these are the ingredients for the sandwiches fillings.

Plenty of greens and cheese

And of course, meat and poultry for the meat lovers

Fruits for juicing purposes

While waiting for the sandwiches to be prepared… we bloggers spotted something…

Something huge, something warm, and something friendly. It’s none other than Foodpanda himself. 😀 It was really a wonderful surprise and the panda brought smiles to our faces.

Anyway, after waiting for a while, I ordered something to drink so that I can warm my tummy.  Hot chocolate topped with marshmallows. Irresistible, especially during cold weather.

And then the food came, this is what we had….O’Briens Chicken Tripledecker (RM18.80). Toostie with Chicken & Chicken Crisp, Lettuce, cheddar cheese, Red onion, Coleslaw & Tomato. This is my personal favourite whenever I visit O Brien’s outlet. 😀

Chicken Slice & Cheddar Cheese on Shambo (RM15.80). Toostie with Fresh Tomato, Red Onion, Lettuce & Honey Mustard Mayonnaise. This one is rich with cheese, but the cheese does not overwhelms the chicken. Taste really great, and I would highly recommend this to those who loves cheesy food.

Sundried Tomato on Hot Ciabatta (RM15.80). Toostie with Sundried Tomato, Red Onion, Fresh Tomato, Mozzarella cheese, Roasted vegetables & Basil Pesto. * Add Chicken for RM3.50. I never tried this one before, but this sandwich reminds me of some kind of a Mediterranean bread. Love it very much.

Soup of the day. Mushroom soup served with a slice of garlic bread. I love mushroom soup, but there’s nothing to shout about. I would prefer it more if it’s thicker, but that’s just me. I’m sure you’ll like this one if you’re a fan of mushroom soup.

Right now, O Brien’s is having a Ramadhan promotion. Curry Chicken Mayo Sandwich with cashew nut & grapes + Ice lemon tea for RM16 per set. Quite a good deal, I must say. If you want to opt for ala-carte, it is RM13.50. 😀

This sandwich taste a bit different and exotic than the rest, but it’s specially crafted to cater to those who are fasting. It’s not only a healthier choice for breaking fast,  but it’s also packed with energy. You might want to give it a go.

There is plenty of O Brien’s outlet in Malaysia, but if you’re living in KL and can’t go to all of these outlet, you might want to ask the friendly Foodpanda to send it to you. 😀 Foodpanda is an online food delivery website in Malaysia. It now offers diners more variety with 100 food joints in its website since its recent debut on 26th March 2012.With restaurants including O’Briens Irish Sandwich Café, Canadian Pizza, Sushi King, Secret Recipe, Fatty Crabs, ChicKing Fried Chicken, Darabif and Hakka KL, there’s always something for everyone who’s on the hunt for good food, so be sure to check them out whenever you feel like eating out but can’t be bothered to drive out. 😀

Anyway, I had a really good time with my blogger friends and the Foodpanda crew. Here’s one for the album. 😀

Cleffairy: Foodpanda is really abit like a superhero…it saves you from hunger with just a few clicks. Now, that’s what I call a superpower. 😀
