Horseback riding in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa

I go horseback riding every once a month in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. It cost me Rm1.50 per round, which I think, is very reasonable considering the cost of maintaining a stable.

I enjoy horseback riding very much. It’s very relaxing and liberating and it makes me feel very close to nature.

I prefer to ride a male horse rather than a mare, because mares are rather temperamental and very sensitive towards your weight, your voice as well as your scent. If mares don’t like you, you’ll be in a one hell of a horseback riding session. It doesn’t matter if you’re wearing an Equestrian Clothing or not. If the mare in question doesn’t like you, that means she doesn’t like you. And there’s not much you can do to make her like you. Unless of course, if you have some sugar cubes, apples or carrots somewhere in your sleeves to tempt the mare, of course-they respond very well to ‘bribes’.

Let’s just say mares are very territorial and instinctive. If they don’t like you, that means they don’t like you, and they’re off limits. And if you attempt to ride on them when they clearly show their reluctance, they’ll throw you off from their backs in defiance.

Male horses are easier to deal with, though. They’re quite fuss free if you’re bonded to them quite well. They are very protective and ‘macho’ in nature too. They’re usually careful if their riders are ladies or young children. Amazing isn’t it?

Horseback riding is for me. Perhaps it is for you too. If you wanna try it, go to DBKL Stables in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa.

Horseback riding session is available at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa every Saturday and Sunday from 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm. A trainer is at hand to walk the horse with the rider. Horse drawn carriage rides are also available for groups of 4-5 persons. This ride takes visitors on a quick tour around the recreational park.

hehe… Sounds like portraiting the actual man and woman! Normally girls are fussy and if the man ‘boh ngam’ or doesn’t click with them, they probably will ignore them, whilst men(not all though) won’t mind to entertain any decent looking girls that tackle them! ‘Diok boh’?!(Right or not)

I have yet rode on a horse leh(often on carriage though), should try it one fine day since my mum’s is staying close by!;D
