Our 4×4 experience was out of this world and we were brought back to the resort still adrenaline high from all of the excitements, but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and as the sun rises high above our head, our memorable 2D1N visit ended there too. The whole trip was nothing short of magical, and while we wished that we could stay longer, come noon, it’s time for us to check out of Kalumpang Resort and Training Centre and go back to the real world.
But before we went back, our host graciously prepared lunch for us to enjoy. We were told that it’s specially prepared by the ladyboss of Kalumpang Resort and Training Centre. This time it was served picnic style under a tree, but just when we were about to pile up our plates, it got rainy and we ended up having our lunch intimately under the gazebo nearby instead, kampung style.
Our lunch spread consists of assorted kampung style dishes and a special fish soup known as ‘Sup Istimewa Kalumpang’. The soup was especially addictive. Made from fish chunks and assorted mushrooms, it is not only appetizing but tummy warming too.
The food were served in clay pots. From top left; cucumber and pineapple salad, Sambal Tumis Petai , Ikan Masak Sambal, Hati Ayam Berempah, Asam Pedas Ikan and Bayam Goreng.
And last but not least, fresh tropical fruits to cleanse our palates with.
Kalumpang Resort and Training Centre definitely have more to offer guests than just team building packages and extreme sports activities, but have plenty of culinary delights for you to indulge in as well.
