Today, I am 1 year old

Last year, 1st June 2008 was the day that I started writing a blog. Back then, I started a blog merely for one purpose, which is to comment on Marina Mahathir’s blog and on Tun Dr. Mahathir’s blog. I needed an identity in order to post my thoughts on their articles and writing. In the beginning, that is the sole purpose of this blog. It’s merely an identity and medium for me to comment on other people’s writing. Though in writing line myself, I hardly thought of writing for free, and for self satisfaction. I used to think that blogging is not as rewarding as writing for my novels.

But soon enough I discovered that blogging does not limit me from only writing comment on other people’s blog. I slowly discovered that through writing in a blog is not merely a waste of time. I had gain so much throughout this one year.

I suffered a very mundane and routine life to a point that I do not mind dying at all just to escape the stress, depression and boredom. I bemoaned my dissatisfaction in life often, but slowly, as I started to write more and display my venting and ranting to the whole world to read in Over A Cuppa Tea, I started to feel that I am not alone. A lot of people out there leads a harder life than me. I know so because those who felt that I delivered my feelings through my writing had sincerely wrote to me privately and shared their problems with me-which I gladly keep to myself and offer my comfort in return. I cannot do much, and for that I apologize. I can only offer my comfort and be a listener, and I hope it does help.

Over A Cuppa Tea itself heals a part of me that’s broken. My blog gave me a small comfort. Or rather, it is a medium for me to get some comfort and consolation. Though my blog is not necessarily an absolute true reflection of my reality, but my attitude is here in my blog. I suppose, a lot of people could feel that. I am fiery and outspoken in nature, and to take that away from me is as good as killing me.

Over A Cuppa Tea has given me so much. I have earned many things from blogging. I earn all of you. Brothers, sisters, uncle, aunties, godfather and even godmothers. Today, I wish not for all of you to congratulate me for reaching a one year mark for Over A Cuppa Tea, but I would like to thank all of you for being here for me instead. Thank you for all of your support and your priceless friendship. I would have never make it this far without all of you. Thank you, and I’m forever indebted to you.

ps: I’ve been extremely busy lately, and couldn’t find time to blog hop  as frequent as last time, and so, I apologize for that. Will visit and leave my thoughts when life is not so ‘murderous’. 😛
