As I mentioned in my previous post, I grew up in Kedah and Perlis, where almost everywhere are paddy fields. But despite having grown up at the states that’s known as the nation’s ricebowl, my first time visiting a paddy factory and a paddy gallery is when I’m already a grown up who is well into my early 30s and in Sekinchan, Selangor at that. The visit was organized by Foodilifecious and Potboy Groceries. Funny how life turns out, eh?

PLS Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd (or Kilang Beras Rakyat Sekinchan Sdn Bhd) is one of the paddy processing factory in Sekinchan that allow tourists to visit their factory for educational purposes.
We were shown the process of the paddy plantation with a mechanized planting method during our visit.

Apart from listening to talks and visiting the gallery, you can also buy freshly packaged Pearl Rice at this factory.
For those who are not familar with this term, Pearl Rice is very popular in Sekinchan. The rice is definitely a must buy should you visit this place.
