Babajia is a restaurant that serves homey Peranakan cuisine and it is open 24 hours daily.
If you want to enjoy the flavours of authentic Peranakan homecooking, Babajia is the place that you should go to. The food here is definitely on the fantastic side and surpassed my expectation as a fussy eater.
Apart from their signature Baba and Nyonya cuisine offerings, they too have have luxurious soup and porridge like Abalone Chicken Porridge and Abalone and Ginseng Soup that’s simply delicious. These two are a must try in my opinion. They are richly nutritious. Babajia also have plenty of finger food if you are looking for some snacks. Among the addictive ones is the Fried Lorbak.
Abalone and Ginseng Soup. I detest everything herbal, but my friend ordered this soup and swears on her life that it taste sweetly good. It was gone under 5 minutes. So I guess this is quite safe to order if you are a fan of herbal soups.
Abalone and Chicken Porridge. I ordered this to start my day with and I have to say that it was really good. The porridge has a creamy texture and was really flavourful.
Fried Lorbak platter was adeptly fried wasn’t overly greasy.
Babajia is located just beside Richdad in SkyAvenue and is constantly flocked by both hungry diners and fans of Peranakan cuisine. But don’t let the crowd turn you off as their service is pretty much swift.
