A Feast with the whole family and ring in the Year of the Rat at Utara as Executive Chef Chew Teik Chye and his team dishes up a sumptuous offering of traditional Chinese cuisine across their buffet spread.
As a prelude to the Chinese New Year festivities, from 17th till 23rd January 2020, Utara will feature a Pre Chinese New Year Reunion Buffet Dinner. Priced at RM80+ per adult, RM60+ for senior citizens and RM40+ per child, the buffet will start featuring a wide
variety of symbolic dishes of prosperity, good luck and abundance that will also include local, Western, Japanese and Indian cuisine. Steamed Seabass with Black Fungus in Soy
Sauce, Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables with Lotus Root, Chinese Herbal Chicken Kee Chee, Fried Kam Heong Mussels and Sang Har Noodles are some of the dishes diners can look
forward to.
King Salmon Yee Sang. Definitely something you wouldn’t want to miss during your reunion gathering. The Salmon Yee Sang features plenty of refeshing and crunchy ingredients alongside with freshly sliced Salmon filets.
Good Fortune Poon Choy. Another indulgence that should not be missed is the opulent Treasure Pot that is also known as ‘Poon Choy’. Braised, deep in flavor and filled to the brim with an abundance of mouth-watering delicacies such as Abalone, Prawns, Scallops, Clams, Sea Cucumber, Duck and other flavourful ingredients makes the Poon Choy a truly satisfying dish.
Chinese New Year Fried Rice. Can’t do without carbs and need some rice fix? Fret not. Chef Chew and his team includes rice dish too in the menu.
Deep Fried Whole Fish with Cheong Cheng Sauce. Fish is a must in any Chinese New Year’s feast. It signafies abundance and here at UTARA, the fish is prepared with delicious Cheong Cheng sauce. The sauce itself is quite an indulgence on it’s own, I must say.
Stir Fried Vegetables with Lotus Root. Refreshing veggies for those who just love their greens. Lightly flavoured to retain the natural taste, the lotus roots were crunchy and really satisfying to much on.
Chinese Herbal Chicken Kee Chee provides all the nourishment you need for busy festive season ahead.
Stir Fried Crabs with Kam Heong for those who love seafood.
Sang Har Noodles can be as filling as the rice dish, but be sure to make space for the noodles. It’s to die for.
Deep Fried Nien Koa aplenty for those with sweet tooth.
Ling Chi Pak Hup makes a lovely sweet end to a delicious feast.
