Jr. NBA—the NBA’s international youth development program that promotes basketball participation and an active lifestyle among children has return to Malaysia for the third consecutive year.
Jr. NBA Malaysia 2016, presented by Dutch Lady was launched in April and will be running till August. Jr. NBA Malaysia 2016 presented by Dutch Lady is free and open to boys and girls between 5 and 14 years old. Players between the ages of 10 to 14 will be eligible for top selection to participate in the National Training Camp.
For the very first time, Jr. NBA Malaysia presented by Dutch Lady has extended its reach to Penang.
Seeking the brightest local talents in basketball, the first Jr. NBA Malaysia presented by Dutch Lady camp in Penang will culminate with the selection of several kids who will be selected to attend the Selection Camp at Kuala Lumpur in July, moving them one step closer to being named a Jr. NBA Malaysia All-Star.
Participants of the program are trained in the fundamentals of basketball and learn the importance of the Jr. NBA core values of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, a positive Attitude, and Respect (S.T.A.R.).

The program culminates with the selection of 10 boys and 5 girls who will be named as Jr. NBA Malaysia All-Stars, and here’s the ones chosen during the Jr.NBA clinic in Han Chiang College, Penang. These standout campers will be provided with a unique, overseas NBA Experience and the opportunity to play against fellow Jr. NBA All-Stars from around Southeast Asia later in the year.
