Mamee House, Jonker Street, Melaka

I knew Melaka town like the back of my hand. I could walk and navigate in Melaka better than in Kuala Lumpur, my current home state, and one of my favourite place is the Jalan Tukang Emas and Jalan Hang Jebat; the area better known as the lively Jonker Walk.

There are plenty of tourist attractions in the vicinity of the Jonker Walk. Among them are the Harmony Street where you can find old mosque, temples just beside each other. Symbolic of how harmonious Malaccans are. Situated on the same street are budget hotels and guest houses, pubs, cafes and private museums which charges minimum fees per entry.

I’ve been to plenty of private museums in Jonker Walk. Among them are the Chinese Straits Museum, Cheng Ho Museum and many more, but never really bothered to visit the Mamee House in Jonker Walk.

Fortunately for me, I had the opportunity to visit the Mamee House in Jonker Walk during my previous business trip to Melaka, in conjunction of Mamee’s 45th Anniversary and Mommy’s Day Celebration where they invited bloggers and members of the media to have fun with their children and take a little tour around the museum.
