Life have been wonderfully hectic for me. I’ve been going places, exploring beautiful destinations in Malaysia with my family and I can honestly say that despite all the jet lag and fatigue I’ve been getting, it was all still worth it. I had just came back from a yet another trip and was informed that there is some sort of food fair going on. New Zealand food, no less and I thought it is worth checking out.
The food fair/exhibition was held in Intercontinental Hotel in conjunction of New Zealand week celebrations in Malaysia.
Familiar brand like Pure South also made an appearance here in the New Zealand Food Connection event.
Sweet, crunchy apples from New Zealand.
Spotted some Anchor Pure butter here
Starbucks addicts would most definitely recognize these Tandem pancakes.
Kapiti ice cream for those who have sweet tooth.
Plenty of food sampling session going on for the visitors’ gastronomic pleasure.
Apart from showcasing hot selling items and food produce from New Zealand, there is also food demonstration done by Masterchef New Zealand, the beautiful Chef Nadia Lim. Here’s the beautiful chef giving some cooking demo by using some of the ingredients found in the New Zealand Food Connection. Nadia was here at Food Connection to show off her cooking skill. Food Connection is one of a series of events being held this year in KL and around the region to celebrate the 40th anniversary of New Zealand’s relationship with ASEAN. New Zealand’s trading relationship with the region is underpinned by a number of Free Trade Agreement (FTA), with ASEAN itself and a number of individual member states, including Malaysia.
There is a New Zealand Food Connection Chef Challenge going on, and here is my loot for it. I’m no Masterchef but do stay tune to my next post to see if I could actually cook up something without destroying the kitchen. 😉
Oooooo…I love New Zealand! Wish I could go to that fair. Free samples!!! Yipeeeee!!!! That,, I super-duper like! LOL!!!
