Located at Lanai Matic Jalan Ampang Kuala Lumpur, Ice Age Alive exhibition is offering a family friendly interactive attraction where it’s not only fun, but educational for the little ones as well. The lighting in the exhibition area may give off the gloomy feeling with realistic cold temperature to make you feel as if you are really back in time during the Ice Age. Yes, it’s kinda cold in there, so if you are bringing your little babies and toddlers there, please make sure that they are dressed appropriately.

Stepping into the Ice Age Alive interactive exhibition, visitors will be greeted with plenty of exhibits but among the first was the informational boards on the Ice Age era.

What’s a dinosaur related exhibition without the famous T-Rex? Fella is the real all time favourite dino celebrity and you can expect to see T-Rex at Ice Age Alive.

Yours truly with a pre-historic kitty cat, the Sabre Tooth cat. The Sabre Tooth cats are probably the ancestors of our modern cats. I love cats but keeping this fella as a pet is out of the question. The sabre tooth that are used for hunting their preys are terribly sharp and scary.

Not sure what’s the creature behind me is, but it sure is scary.

The Dodo Bird. The Dodo bird is an extinct flightless bird that was endemic to the island of Mauritius, east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean.

Wholly Mammoth. Once upon a time, they roam the earth the way our modern Elepahants would.

Here’s another one. Not sure which modern animal ancestors this is, but one thing for certain, it does have the resemblance to the still existing Rhinos.

Apart from the interesting pre-historic creatures’ exhibit, there’s also the snowland area where you can bring your children to play at.

image

The snowland area allows children to play in the snow. Be sure to monitor your children should you allow them to play at this area, though. Leaving your young children to play by themselves is a no no.

Ice Age Alive also takes the whole Ice Age experience to the next level by providing an ice skating rink for you to play in.

First timer in ice skating and balancing yourselves is a problem?

image

Fret not. There are plenty of movable figurine that you can latch on to help you learn how to balance yourselves while getting a grip of ice skating.

One thing that’s interesting about this place is that it not only allows interactive and educational play, but also allows you to organize kids friendly events like birthday parties and family day as well. Isn’t it cool? All you need to do is contact Ice Age Alive and they’ll have it arranged for you.
