Love is All Around with Gartien

What’s the most exciting thing you can do in bed besides making love? Well, if you ask me that question, my answer to you would be eating in bed. My husband and I were feeling rather naughty during our previous roadtrip. (Check my previous post on hotel in Bentong). We were exhausted and hungry, but don’t really feel like going out for a meal. Lying in bed and cuddling while watching Tv and eating tidbits is much more appealing than going out. There was no room service in the lodge that we stayed, so ordering meals from the room service is out of question.

We were in luck though, as instead of packing up cup noodles and junkfood as snacks in the room, I brought along Gartien’s Pineapple cakes instead during the trip. 😀 ‘Santa’ happened to drop by earlier before our trip to Bentong, and I thought, it’s the next best thing to chocolate to have in bed, and I was right! 😀

There are ten pieces of pineapple cakes (actually it’s pineapple tarts, just bigger size).

Each packs were beautifully wrapped with waxed-like wrapping and with beautiful, romantic artwork of Mu Dan flower on it. Perfect for the romantic at hearts, and definitely makes an auspicious gift for the upcoming Chinese New Year or wedding gifts.

The rectangle shaped pineapple cakes were heaven in the mouth.

It tasted simply divine. The pastries are made fresh with natural ingredients and pure butter. It gives the cake milky and buttery taste yet the light and fluffy. The filling is made of 100% fresh pineapples picked directly from plantation in the village of Nibong Tebal. Love it to bits as it is not cloyingly sweet and you can have one after another as it’s positively addictive. Unlike other pineapple cakes and tarts, this one is special in the sense that while it is light and fluffy, it is not crumbly. And a special note about the filling, you can actually chew on the pineapple chunks. Again…I have to mention that while we had these in bed while cuddling, the crumbs did not mess up the bed. Great, huh? I bet like us,  newlyweds would appreciate these pineapple cakes on their honeymoon trips too. They’re not only great to replenish energy, but not messy to have in bed too 😛
