Must Visit Attractions in Melaka in 1 Day

Melaka is a state in Malaysia and located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Straits of Malacca. It borders Negeri Sembilan to the north and Johor to the south.

Located about 148 kilometres south east of Malaysia’s capital city Kuala Lumpur, 235 kilometres north west of Johor’s largest city Johor Bahru, and 95 km north west of Johor’s second largest city, Batu Pahat, Melaka historical city centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008 and have plenty of must visit attractions for tourists and travelers to explore.

One day is simply not enough if you would like to visit all the historical places in Melaka but if you just have one day to spare and would like to just do the touristy things in Melaka, here’s some brief, must visit recommendations of where to go in Melaka in just one day.

1. Freeport A’Famosa Outlet, Ayer Keroh, Melaka

Freeport A’Famosa is located near the A’Famosa Resort and offers great deals whole year through. The mall have live sized boardgames for you to play and these are scattered around it’s property, making it not only a nice place to shop, but a fun and interactive place to visit with your family and friends.

Bonus? This mall also have splendid instagram-worthy architecture for your photo taking pleasure.

2. Melaka Nyonya Village

This restaurant is not just your ordinary restaurant serving Baba&Nyonya Delicacies, but it also serves as a hub for culture lovers.

3. Dissendium Theatre
