Nasi Lemak 2.0 Red Carpet Gala

Below are some of the artistes who attended Nasi Lemak 2.0 Red Carpet Gala. The Red Carpet Gala was held at The Laundry Bar- The Curve on 28th August 2011. Pictures were taken during exclusive interviews with the casts.

These two came out from retirement just to help Namewee with the Nasi Lemak 2.0. I think those who grew up in the 90s would remember them as ‘Baba’ and ‘Nyonya’.

Looks like a street punk, no? Dennis Lau may play the villain in Nasi Lemak 2.0, but I can assure you that this young talented violinist is nothing but a gentleman in real life.

If I’m not mistaken, this lady played the fisherman’s wife in Nasi Lemak 2.0.

The forever lively Kak Adibah Noor. It’s been years since I last talked to her. If I’m not mistaken it was in 2006. Time flies, but she’s still the happy go lucky person I used to know.=.=  Kak Adibah still have her sense of humour and pulled me to take a photo with her during the cast interview. Darn. I immediately wished that I bothered to dress up a lil bit and put on some make up. I daresay I look like… well… look like a Vampire. (minus the sparkle…*roll eyes*)

The Curry Master’s daughter…

Karen Kong played Chef Huang’s sidekick in Nasi Lemak 2.0. She also lend her voice in the making of Nasi Lemak 2.0 OST. If you haven’t listened to any of her songs yet, I suggest you start doing it now. She have some really nice songs, both in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin, no kidding.

I grew up knowing Datuk David Arumugam as ‘Uncle Alleycat’ with his trademark ‘Terima kaseeeeeehhhh!’ and I listened to his songs when I was a little girl as my father was a huge fan of his songs, especially ‘Jika Kau Bercinta Lagi’. I’m camera shy, but I couldn’t help myself but asked him to snap a pic or two with me so that I can MMS it to my father. =.=”. Datuk David Arumugam played the strict Curry Master who speak multiple languages in Nasi Lemak 2.0.

Do you recognize who they are? Kenny, Chee, and is that Patrick Teoh and his wife at the back? =.=’ I seriously need to get myself a better camera… or rather, a new pair of spectacles.

Namewee himself. He’s the kind of person who you either will like, or you don’t like. Alot of people don’t like him because he use alot of vulgar language in his songs, but I happen to like him alot, and to me, his works are rather inspirational and thought provoking. He’s a very charismatic man, and I hope that people will stop stereotyping him just because he’s a little bit on the rebellious side when he started off his career in the entertainment industry.

I’ll be reviewing the Nasi Lemak 2.0 soon. In the meantime, if you’re interested in Nasi Lemak 2.0, do check out the official Nasi Lemak 2.0 website and LIKE the FB page HERE.
