Two or three decades back, kids or people who play computer or online games are considered bad and merely wasting time. Fast forward to today, gaming has culturally become a kind of sports that’s internationally recognized as much as physical sports. Plenty of companies has come forward to provide a platform for gamers worldwide and one of them is Gameview Money.

Barbeque Nation Pavilion Elite Offers An Indian Style Eat-All-You-Can BBQ Buffet

Smartphones and gadgets has become part of our lives to the point that sometimes, we couldn’t even bear to part with it even when we are eating. This is not a very healthy habit, in my opinion and I often insist my husband and friends to put away their smartphones whenever they are having meals with me. But it’s easier said than done. Most of those people whom I’m close to have the habits of using gadgets during mealtimes. And because of this, I prefer to dine in places where 100% involvement and attention during mealtimes is required. And here’s my most recent choice of remedy to such bad habits during mealtime: Barbeque Nation.

image

Barbeque Nation is one of India’s largest casual dining joint. Located in the heart of the golden triangle in Kuala Lumpur at Pavilion Elite, Barbeque Nation is a restaurant that adopts the concept of live grills embedded at the dining tables. Barbeque Nation more than 112 outlets over 65 cities throughout India. Barbeque Nation can be spotted easily in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

image

The restaurant is basically a traditional barbeque restaurant with a modern twist, offering premium items with a focus on a wide variety of fresh, high-quality ingredients and here’s sharing with you my most recent dining experience at Barbeque Nation.

image

The main attraction in Barbeque Nation is the eat-all-you can live grill. Similar to the Chinese hotpot meals where you dumped all the ingredients in the hotpot and wait for them to be cooked, the eat-all-you-can allows you to cook your own grill ingredients right at your table to enjoy in Barbeque Nation. I assure you that your hands will be so busy grilling and enjoying the food to be looking at your gadgets.

image

As mentioned above, it’s an eat-all-you can. And therefore, these are refillable upon request. The famous starters on offer includes Burnt Garlic Chicken Tikka, Chicken Shish Tawook, Char Siu Chicken Wings, Mutton Mint Seekh, Hariyali Fish Tikka and Arabic Prawns. Apart from that, they have the vegetarian option of mouthwatering Peri Peri Mushrooms, Sweet & Sour Grilled Tofu, Rice & Corn Cake, Chilli Garlic Grill Vegetables, Cajun Potato Wedges, Balsamic Bib Pineapple and Corn on Cob.

image

Take a look at my barbequed skewers. Done right at my own dining table. Looks tempting, no? I had a lot of these. Wonder how many I had during my visit? I had alot of these. But as the exact amount that I requested to refill, well, ask me no questions and I’ll tell you no lies. I prefer to not let you readers to think of me as a bottomless pit of a glutton.

image

Apart from the live grill, Barbeque Nation offers buffet spread and live-cooking stations as well. The menu lists spans from Mediterranean, American, Oriental, Asian and Indian cuisines, so diners are definitely spoilt for choices at Barbeque Nation and one can’t complain of not having enough to eat at Barbeque Nation. Diners get to savour unlimited dishes from a wide range of buffet spreads featuring mouthwatering selections of meat and vegetarian delights.

image

Here’s a must try from the Live Chat station; the Pani Puri. This is basically a bomb in the mouth, so be prepared for some explosive flavours to spike up your palate when you had this.

image

Barbeque Nation does not only offers savoury food but will indulge those with sweet tooth as well.

image

The dessert counter offers all sorts of delicious desserts, including cakes, mousses, puddings and assorted Indian Desserts.

image

Beverages aplenty. However they are not included in the buffet. Only drinking water will be provided during the entire meal. Should you want to try out the assortments of fancy beverages in Barbeque Nation, you will have to order them seperately.

image

Barbeque Nation is definitely a place you would want to go with your family and friends to enjoy a good meal. The best part of it all? The place’s environment and food will encourage you to put away your gadgets and focus on what really matters; food and each other.

Barbeque Nation ‘EAT-ALL-YOU-CAN’ BUFFET is priced accordingly for lunch and dinner and is subjected to 10% service charge. Pricing as below for your references:

Sweetheart Look with Ephyra Lips

I’m not much a beauty blogger. If you ask me to review beauty products the way other beauty bloggers do, I think my write-up will be rather unnatural and weird. If anything, I’m just an ordinary woman who is vain and like to look beautiful and loves to share my beauty findings with other women like me.

image

Speaking of sharing beauty findings, I’ve recently received this Ephyra Lips as a complimentary gift for my Ephyra Collagen purchase. I was a little surprised of course, as I wasn’t expecting anything for my purchase but I was happy nevertheless as although I’m not much a makeup user, but I’m pretty much a lipstick addict. I cannot resist a good lipstick, especially those in classy red colour. Some of my friends even nicknamed me as the Red Lips Queen as I have the tendency to wear red shade lipsticks whenever I go.

As this is a complimentary gift, the shade was random and instead of my usual red, I was gifted with a pink shade one instead. This is Ephyra Lips in Pink Peony.

Now, I seriously don’t know what to expect when I received it. At first glance, the colour seems so pastel that it can be compared to pastel water colours that my son has been using for his art classes. I’ve never made a point to wear pink shades before as most lipsticks that are pink in shades makes me look really weird. Initially I thought this Ephyra Lips in Pink Peony will not suit me well, but I tried it on nevertheless.

image

Much to my surprise, the Ephyra Lips in Pink Peony gives me a pretty much youthful effect and makes me look much younger than my age.

image

Can you honestly say that this picture makes me look as if I’m already in my 30s? I guess you can’t, can you? Okay, I guess I’ll have to credit the Ephyra Collagen for me looking younger than my real age but that’s beside the point. I won’t be talking about that here. My point is that the colour is devastingly beautiful and make me look sweet and innocent and it’s by far the best matte cream lipstick that I’ve ever worn. I’ll tell you why:

*Ephyra Lips glided on easily onto the lips. Application is not messy.
*The colour is striking but not over the top that it makes you look weird or unnatural.
*It does not stain easily
*Long lasting. It can last more than 8 hours without touching up, I kid you not. The colour really stays on, even when you’re having your meals.
*Despite the fact that the colour stays on for hours and hours, it’s strangely easy to removed. I don’t even need a makeup remover to remove it. All I need is to wipe it away with a wet wipe or tissue once and it’ll be gone.
*It is not drying on the lips, even after long hours on the lips. Surprisingly moisturising and if I must testify, I swear that the Ephyra Lips helps to improve my lips condition as well. I used to have dry and chapped lips but after about 2 weeks of using this, that problems seems to be magically gone and the best part is that now my lips are much softer to touch.

Overall, I’m really happy with Ephyra Lips and I guess I’ll hunt down other colours to try soon enough to play around with other looks to suit my mood and my clothings. I’m looking forward to try those red and striking colours. Last check on their site they have more than 8 shades of Ephyra Lips to choose from and they have sales every now and then. I personally recommend Ephyra Lips, so if you are interested to try, you might want to hop over to these links below:

Isaac Toast&Coffee, Avenue K

As of late, I caught the Hallyu fever and have been marathoning loads of K-dramas. Apart from swooning over eyecandy Oppas in those dramas, I can’t help but drool over the Korean food that they tend to feature too. I find Korean delicacies rather tempting and unique. Among the Korean food that I’ve seen being featured in K-dramas and Korean vlogs is Isaac Toast&Coffee and I’ve been longing to have a bite of those delicious looking freshly made street- toast.

image

Isaac Toast&Coffee finally opens in Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur and I decided to check it out.

image

Isaac Toast& Coffee, or simply known as Isaac Toast among Korean foodie is toast chain based in South Korea. It’s South Korea’s most popular sandwich joints. As of 2016, the chain has over 700 retail stores in South Korea. It has further expanded internationally and established branches including Macau, Taiwan and or course, Malaysia.

image

Here’s what they are offering on their Malaysian menu.

image

Isaac Toast&Coffee menu is pretty straight forward and I don’t think you will have trouble ordering.

image

Combo menu offers a better deal to diners. You might want to consider having one of these during your visit to Isaac Toast.

image

Drinks offered varies from coffee to tea and a selection of smoothies

image

Toasts are made to order at the kioks to ensure the warmth and freshness of the toasts. Each toast is paired with a square shaped soft signature omelette (similar to Japanese tamagoyaki), cheese slice and some shredded cabbage. These will be topped up with your choice of meat patty such as chicken ham or bacon, turkey ham, tuna or shrimp.

image

People generally orders coffee to go with their toasts, but I’m not much a coffee drinker. My blog, ‘Over A Cuppa Tea’ says it all and so I got myself Green Tea and Ice Peach Tea instead. They’re really refreshing, I must say.

image

Having a huge fanbase nationwide, Isaac Toast’s queue tend to be long. But no worries. They have a few stations to make your toasts, and service is really swift here in Isaac Toast Avenue K and it doesn’t take long for them to prepare your toasts. At best, just 3-5 minutes max.

image

I went with basic instead of their combo; the Turkey Ham Cheese Special Toast (RM10.00)

image

Turkey Ham Cheese Special. The toasts were filled generously with shredded cabbage and high quality cheddar cheese slice was used.

image

The Turkey Ham Cheese Special melted in my mouth like a dream. The bread tasted buttery and have a slight sweetness to it that I can’t seems to appropriately describe. Quite a fanciful taste and I certainly like it in comparison to the usual sandwiches that’s usually savoury and salty rather than sweet. So, do I like it? Does it live to my expectations? Well, I must say they definitely do and I’m looking forward to try other flavours on their menu.

image

I’m a huge fan of sandwiches. Comforting and convenient, sandwiches and toasties are my choice whenever I’m too busy for a meal or on the go. And I guess Isaac Toast&Coffee will be my regular grab and go sandwich joint for a long time.

Below are the info for Isaac Toast&Coffee Avenue K:

Resorts World Genting Organizes Petrol Kiosk Safety Measures Campaign to Spread Awareness on Petrol Safety Procedures

It is a ritual that all motorists go through, driving into a petrol station to fill their vehicle’s tank up, then once done, drive off to their destinations only to repeat the same routine again regularly. But what most drivers aren’t aware of are the strict safety rules that govern a petrol station.

image

A stray spark – even from using a mobile phone, or a cigarette – could lead to a fire incident. In recognition of the need to educate drivers, consumers and station operators of proper behaviour at petrol stations, the Malaysian Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), Pahang State Securities, Resorts World Genting and fuel retailer Petron jointly organised a Petroleum Station Safety Awareness Campaign on 30 October 2018.

image

Held at the Petron station at Genting Highlands, Pahang, the event was attended by Dato Mark bin Ujin (Director of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs), Afizah Azleen Abd Rahim (KPDNHEP Chief Section of Domestic Trade for Pahang), Abdul Mubin Ahmad (KPDNHEP Chief Branch of Raub, Pahang), Khor Hai Peng (Vice President of Security for Resorts World Genting), Katherine Chew (Vice President of Resort Communication and Public Relations for Resorts World Genting),  Sa’ado Sharif (Government Liaison Manager of Petron), Azizon binti Abdul Aziz (Area Manager Representative of Petron) and more than 100 members of the public. Dato Mark bin Ujin officiated the event as he lit a torch with the help of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) of Genting Highlands.

The members of the JBPM then conducted the petroleum safety awareness briefing and demonstrating proper etiquette and procedure. This is of utmost importance, given the potential severity of a fire incident. They explained that the public should not be afraid to tackle a fire at the root. For example, if a fire starts out at a gas cylinder, it can be stopped just by carefully placing a finger over the mouth gas outlet to immediately stop the flow of the gas. They also conducted an exciting demonstration with a Fire & Rescue truck, clarifying that it is a myth that cars will explode if they catch on fire. Two men enacted an accident by smoking and talking on the phone at the petrol station whilst pumping petrol where the car caught on fire and the men fell back and collapsed on the ground. The team responded by quickly arriving on the scene to put out the fire and carry out medical assistance for the men.

Vigilance is important to ensure that safety is adhered. Petroleum products are highly flammable, and a typical petrol station would not only contain huge volumes of gasoline and diesel in underground tanks, but also fuel vapours caused by evaporation – which are even more flammable than the liquids themselves – and other flammable produces like lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and greases. All petrol stations in Malaysia are required by law to display safety rules and regulations, but negligence or ignorance of consumers present the risk of accidents. In addition to the dos-and-don’ts of the petrol refueling process, the vigilant Fire and Rescue Department members will also be highlighting the importance of regular vehicle servicing, road safety measures and the role of property operators like Resorts World Genting in road maintenance. The event is a crucial one to educate visitors as to reach the peak at 6000 feet, a high volume of vehicles such as buses, cars, motorcycles and other vehicles patronise the roads leading up. In 2017 alone, Resorts World Genting recorded nearly 24 million visitors.

Highlighting the importance of the event, Dato Mark bin Ujin said that “This event is to raise awareness amongst consumers. The awareness amongst the public still needs to be increased as well as Malaysians are sometimes careless and leave their engines on when pumping petrol for a quick stop. During the demonstration today, we saw what happens if we are not careful whilst being surrounded by petroleum products.”

Khor Hai Peng, Vice President of Security for Resorts World Genting added, “Besides ensuring that our visitors have an unforgettable time at Resorts World Genting, our utmost commitment is ensuring that the safety of our guests and staff remains a priority. Through this event, I hope that the awareness of the importance of petroleum safety will be widespread amongst our staff and customers when pumping petrol. I hope they will learn today that each of them plays a part as drivers and consumers. Fire safety is one of the top risks that we handle here and we are fortunate to have our own Fire & Rescue team with force of 200 to respond to crises instantly. We hope that by working together with Petron, the public, especially the citizens of Malaysia will be more conscious about this issue.”

A ‘Smart Consumer’ quiz was also held with souvenirs sponsored by Petron and KPDNHEP where the audience had a fun time answering questions. While the event is meant to educate and highlight the strict safety procedures practiced at Resorts World Genting, the lessons that were be given out at the Petroleum Safety Awareness Campaign on 30 October 2018 will be applicable to all drivers and consumers, not just in Pahang but throughout Malaysia.

It’s All About Me and Domino’s Pizza

image

Most of you defined me by my marriage. You know me as someone’s wife and someone’s mother. But am I just that? I have no doubt that at times, some of you ask yourselves that question too. As we grow older, people defined us merely by what we do for a living and our status. But we are more than that. We are not just someone’s daughter, someone’s brother or sister, someone’s wife, someone’s mother. We are all unique individuals and we shouldn’t forget that. I like a lot of things in life. I have immense passion for writing; especially writing novels and I very much rather you recognize me as an author more than anything else. I like watching dramas and anime. I very much rather discuss that with those who shared the same interest with me. I like shopping and doing outdoor activities. I love traveling and going for eco-escapade and I very much rather you know me as a traveler and a nature lover. I am abit of a glutton and I love food very much, and I certainly love to enjoy great food with good companions.

Our spouse and children became the center of our world when we got married. This fact is true, especially for ladies. But let’s not forget that our life is not just about other people. It’s about us too. This life is ours to live and we should celebrate our individuality instead of burying it alive. I know some of us feel jaded in life on how people defined us and we try to live up to their expectations to the point that we are overly harsh to ourselves that we stopped being kind to ourselves. I think this is not right. I believe it is important to reward ourselves for all the little achievements that we achieved as if we don’t, nobody else would.

image

One of the way for me to reward myself for the little successes in my life or to encourage myself to keep on going in the face of adversities and the challenges I’m facing is to treat myself to good food.

image

One of my favourite reward to myself is pizza. I have a couple of my all time favourite pizzeria but if there’s one that’s regularly on top of my list since my teenage years is Domino’s. They are not only affordable but easy to order as well. You can chopse to either call them up and have the pizzas delivered or simply order the pizzas online.

Domino’s has been accompanying me throughout the most parts of my life. I have them whenever I need to burn the midnight oil and work late to meet datelines. They served as fuel to keep me going. I had Domino’s pizzas during the times of darkness and during the times of heartbreak and they gave me such comfort. I had Domino’s pizza to commemorate little success or important events in my life as well. Funny how a simple and humble food played such an important role in my life.

That said, my point is that while it is great that we give unconditional love to our children and our spouse, but let’s not forget that loving ourselves a little bit more does not mean that we love our loved ones less. Do things that you like. Stop just existing and live life to the fullest. Have a better day today than tomorrow.

Weird write up? Well, all I want to say is that you should reward yourselves every now and then. Celebrate your worth as an individual. Because life is all about you and you are definitely worth it. Go ahead. Have a pizza or two. At Domino’s, it’s all about you too. Hop over to https://www.dominos.com.my/itsallaboutyou/ and treat yourselves to some pizzas and don’t forget to share with me your Domino’s pizza stories on social media with the hashtag #DominosMY and #ItsAllAboutYou. Remember, life is all about you and you are worth it.

Where to Buy Health Shoes for Students: Sunfeet International Rehab Centre

School term for the year 2018 is finally lowering it’s curtain and coming to an end. School children nationwide in Malaysia are all excited with their school breaks and holiday fun, but for us parents, it’s a little bit of a nightmare. School holidays are merely intermission for us before the school reopens and there are alot of things for us to do, especially helping to prepare for our kids’ school necessities before the new term commences.

I’m not sure how it’s like for other parents but as a working mum who is constantly busy, time is an essence and I need to plan way ahead to avoid last minute disasters of not having everything prepared. I usually buy school uniforms and whatnot for my son as soon as the school holiday starts, and here’s sharing with you a great place for you to buy shoes for your children; Sunfeet International Rehab Centre.

image

Located in Petaling Jaya, Sunfeet International Rehab Centre has come a really long way in the orthotics and prosthetic industry. At Sunfeet, it’s not just about selling health shoes but also help you to analyze your feet so that you will be able to pick the right footwear for you.

image

As of writing, they are having the Back to School promo and I thought it’s high time that I’d drop by to check out what they have to offer.

image

Here’s my son, checking out the school shoes on their rack.

image

Some of the collection that’s part of the Back to School promo. They’re not only smart in design but keeps your kids’ feet comfy all day long.

image

Free feet scanning and consultation is given here and therefore, we decided to go on ahead with the scanning before picking out the shoes for the boy.

image

During the consultation session with the experts at Sunfeet International Rehab Centre, we’re informed of the common problems with our feet.

image

Here’s the expert at Sunfeet International Rehab Centre scanning my son’s feet to help him determine the type of shoes I should be buying for him to ensure maximum comfort all day long.

image

Getting consultation. I didn’t really pay much attention then as I was too excited with all the shoes displayed over there and I was a bit distracted but here’s sharing with you some of the common problems that we usually faced that are related to our feet

1. Flat feet (our feet are flat and has no proper arch for support)
2. Nunion (excess bulding at the side of your big toe)
3. Callous (thick dead skin cells under the base of your feet)
4. High arch
5. Intoe-ing (pigeon legs- walking with both legs pointing inwards)
6. Toe walking (tip toe when you walk)
7. Bowlegs (bending outward of the legs from the knees down)

image

We were informed that my son’s feet are apparently a little bit on the flat side and extra support is needed.

image

And so here’s the school shoes that were suggested to us.

image

Dr Edmund Lee, the owner and the in-house doctor at Sunfeet International Rehab Centre offered tips on choosing the right footwear during our visit and here’s sharing his tips with all of you here

1. Buy shoes in the evening because our feet expands the most at that time

2. Suitable shoes are shoes that can be inserted two fingers behind the shoes and the front of the shoe. This is to allow for a space for our feet growth.

3. Try both side of the shoes and walk with them to make sure they are comfortable.

image

A pic with Dr.Edmund Lee before we left the centre.

Feet are the basis for healthy body formation. If you choose the wrong footwear that does not support your feet, it will affect your well being and you’ll have tendency for knee pain, unhealthy spine, waist and many more. Therefore, picking a pair of shoes that provides proper support is very important, especially for our children as to encourage their healthy growth.

I always want the best for my son. I’m sure all of you want the best for your children too, especially during their growing up years. And if you are looking for school shoes, or any casual shoes for both yourselves and your children to wear that’s not only fashionable but also promotes overall comfort and well being, you might want to head over to Sunfeet International Rehabilitation Centre and check things out.

Bangsawan Dendam Laksamana, An Action Packed Malay Opera

Love fine arts and theatre performances? I sure do. There’s something really captivating about watching live performance on stage in comparison to watching movies in the cinema. Seeing the actors and actresses performed and express themselves using intense body language to express things is truly fascinating to me. It takes high level of acting skills not to screw up in front of the audience. Unlike regular movies, theatre actors and actresses does not have any second or third chance whenever they make a mistake. They only have one chance to impress the audience, and that’s it.

image

Being a fan of theatre performance, I’m a little picky on what I decided to watch when it comes to theatre performances and I will only watch those with only good ratings and reviews, and here’s one that I can say is pretty amazing; Bangsawan Dendam Laksamana.

image

This play is a part of JERAYAWARA BANGSAWAN DENDAM LAKSAMANA series.

image

Bangsawan Dendam Laksamana is a musical theatre that was chosen based on the story behind the history of Sultan Mahmud Mangkat Dijulang, which was based on a book Masyhor Malaya by Shahrom Husain in 1978.

image

The protagonist is a loyal admiral who would sacrifice everything for his homeland while the main antagonist was a merciless and an arrogant Sultan who is easily swayed by the words of his corrupt official.

image

As the story unfolds, theatre-goers were transported back in time to the Malay Malaccan Sultanate and and straight into the Sultan’s court where all the palace intrigue is shown in such exquisite details. The language used was the formal language used in the palace during the olden days in Tanah Melayu and I thought that’s one of the most beautiful thing ever. Dances and fight scenes were choreographed in such an intricate manner as well. Apart from that, the acting was really raw with emotions, and you can’t help but emphatize with the main characters and detest the villains in the story. Everything was perfectly executed and overall, it’s really a play worth watching for the second time.

image

JERAYAWARA BANGSAWAN DENDAM LAKSAMANA will also be performed in Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, Kedah and Perak and during the tour, there will also be related workshops, forums and exhibitions related to the play. Do keep your eyes peeled should this interest you.

image

You may watch the admiral take his revenge at DEWAN TENGKU ABDUL RAHMAN, Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), KUALA LUMPUR from 2hb Nov 2018 – 11hb Nov 2018 if you are located in Kuala Lumpur.

The partnership was launched by Group President & CEO of Maybank, Datuk Abdul Farid Alias and President & Chief Executive of Johor Corporation cum Chairman of QSR Brands, Dato’ Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim during a special ceremony held at KFC The Curve, Petaling Jaya. Also present at the event were Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil, Managing Director of QSR Brands, and Dato’ John Chong, Group CEO, Community Financial Services Maybank.
Datuk Farid said the partnership between Maybank and KFC Malaysia is part of ongoing efforts by both organisations to provide greater customer convenience, enhance efficiency and further drive the country’s cashless payments agenda.
“Today, we are creating a partnership aimed at enhancing customer experience through a payment eco-system that will further minimise the need for carrying cash while also benefitting merchants in many ways,” added Datuk Farid. “With over 11 million internet banking users – of which more than 4 million use mobile banking – we believe that businesses, especially SMEs, can benefit from Maybank’s large customer base when they are connected to our digital platforms such as through Maybank QRPay.”
Datuk Farid said that Malaysia continues to see increasing adoption of cashless technology and is expected to join mature economies like China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea in a few years’ time. “This upward trend is reflected in the growing number of our registered Maybank2u users who access the platform via mobile devices and computers, and who are increasingly opting for non-cash based transactions.”
According to Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari, KFC has been embarking its digital transformation journey through a number of technology-driven initiatives that have been carefully strategized to enhance overall customer experience.
“To ensure that we are able to extend our reach and cater to the increasing demand for excellent customer service delivery and immersive experience; comprehensive digital strategies are set in place to provide easy accessibility, improved speed and greater flexibility for our customers from the point of ordering, to payment, to the product delivery,” he said.
“This year saw the activation of cashless transaction in our restaurants with digital payment option through credit and debit card. Today, we will unveil the capability of QR payment method in partnership with Maybank as part our customer-centric strategy to provide seamless and value-added service,” he explained.
Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari added, “Bank Negara has predicted that our country will transform into a cashless society by the year 2020. Therefore, we feel that the integration of mobile payment option like QRpay in KFC restaurants, is a natural progression to ensure that QSR is one with the movement and maintained to be at forefront of the future commerce in Malaysia.”

This digital payment system has been rolled-out at 11 KFC restaurants namely KFC Puduraya, Pavilion 2, Bukit Bintang, KL Sentral, Mid Valley Megamall, KLIA2 Arrival and Departure, Sunway Pyramid, Shah Alam Section 7, The Curve and VSQ. It will be progressively made available in all KFC point of sales nationwide by the first quarter of 2019.
With this new service, customers using Maybank QRPay at KFC outlets will have the convenience of making payments by simply opening the QRPay feature within the Maybank App. The customer then has to use the “Pay” function to generate a QR code on the mobile phone which will then be scanned by the card terminal scanner at the point of sale. The purchase amount is then debited from the customer’s selected deposit account and the transaction completed at the cashier.
Apart from the convenience enjoyed by customers, this new arrangement promises greater efficiency to retail merchants as the QRPay transactions are integrated into the point of sale cash register, providing the merchants with full details of all payments made.
Maybank was the first bank in Malaysia to offer cashless payment convenience via QR codes when it introduced this service in January this year. To date, the Bank has secured over 160,000 merchants who offer this payment option, comprising small traders, F&B outlets, retail merchants and beauty centres.
Under this partnership with KFC Malaysia, the Maybank platform will also provide the capability for QR payments via Alipay and WeChat, aimed mainly at enabling visitors from China to make payments seamlessly at KFC outlets in Malaysia.
