Love shopping and retail therapy but not really into bursting your budget? Need to get stuff for your home but household items are usually sold at a very expensive price in the regular malls? Well fret not. There are plenty of places in Klang Valley where you can actually shop without breaking your bank account, but one that tops the list got to be Jalan Jalan Japan Preloved outlet.

As of writing, there are two Jalan Jalan Japan outlets. The first one is in One City Mall while another one is in 1Shamelin Mall. As the namesake, both are selling pre-loved items from Japan. I’ll be sharing with all of you here some useful hacks and tips on how to shop at Jalan Jalan Japan and how to stretch your Ringgit while shopping at Jalan Jalan Japan and make the most out of your money.

The one that I usually frequent is the one in 1Shamelin Mall Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

Now, the outlet is really huge and is segmented into a few sections, eg: Men and Women Clothings, Shoes, Bags, Accessories, Babies and Toddlers Clothing, Sports&Hobbies, Kitchen and Household Items and many more.

There are plenty of items being sold at a very cheap price but look for those items that’s being labeled as further markdown that is as low as RM1 and RM2. Trust me, you’ll find plenty of branded pre-loved treasures over there.

Onece you’ve picked out the clothing items that you had your eyes on, head over to the fitting room and try them out. Make sure that the clothings really fits you well. There’s no point buying clothing that does not fit as goods sold and not returnable. But remember, only bring 5 items at a maximum to try at the fitting room at one time. Be considerate to others who are also waiting in line to use the fitting room. Hogging the fitting room is a no no.

Buying shoes? There are loads of them over here at Jalan Jalan Japan. You may find shoes for people from all walks of life in different styles. A pair of it costs as little as RM5, but picking out a pair of shoes to buy can be quite a tricky affair. So, do spent some time to test them out and make sure they are really the right size for you. Walk down the aisle for a little to see if they’re comfortable before you decide to buy them.

Bag addicts will find it a real pleasure to shop over here at Jalan Jalan Japan. Assortment of bags eg: handbags, backpacks, slingbags etc are selling for as low as RM10.

If you are doing a top to toe fashion makeover, diversify your purchases with some interesting accessories. There are plenty of accessories like necklaces, earrings, bangles and sunglasses over here. Most of them just costs as little as RM2-RM6.

Affordable kitchenwares are sold in abundance here in Jalan Jalan Japan, but do make sure they’re a suitable type and size for your stove before you decided to bring them home. And a gentle reminder for Muslims and strict Vegetarians, these cookwares and dining utensils might have been used to serve all sort of meats and non-Halal items. If you are a devout believers, do perform ‘samak’ or cleansing ritual prior usage.
