This extremely short entry is dedicated to Fergie, one of my dear reader whom I fondly called Aunt Iris. Most of you may not know this, but Aunt Iris has been a very good friend to me, a great listener and also a great mother figure whom I look up to very much. I admire her wisdom and strength.
Cleffairy and Over A Cuppa Tea wishes you and your family congratulations on your son, Andrew’s wedding this weekend. Hope you get another grandkid soon, Aunt Iris.
To me,there’s always a lot of romantic and great story to tell when you attend a wedding, be it yours, your friends or your associates. But attending your own son or daughter’s wedding is another different story, as you will have a lot of wistful thoughts and flashback on the times when your children are still bouncing on your lap. I have never experienced it before, but I’m more than sure that you’ll feel that time indeed fly fast and you’re aging when you’re attending your children’s wedding. It’s as if you’re entering a new circle of life.
I could not imagine how much tears I would shed when it’s my turn to attend my children’s wedding. have any of you experience it before? Is any of your children married? Would you care to tell me your stories? I really would love to listen the emotional story that you have to say.
Cleffairy: Spend more time with your children/grandchildren, because time surely fly fast. In a blink of the eye, they’re suddenly all grown up, and would be busy with their own life to spend quality time with you.
