Kalumpang, not to be confused with the district in Indonesia and a place in East Malaysia, Kalumpang that my family and I visited last month is a small town in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. It is located in the northern part of the state next to Hulu Bernam which is another small town in the district of Hulu Selangor that serves as a border town of Selangor and Perak.
Secluded, quiet and still quite untouched by the fast paced development and away from the bustling city, one would have never guessed that the town have is much more than just an eerily quiet sleeping town.
Following my family’s adventure with our friends from Tourism Malaysia Selangor for our Kembara #dekatje 2015 project, we ventured deep into Kalumpang to Kalumpang Resorts and Training Centre.
Kalumpang Resorts and Training Centre is an agro tourism resort that was built in the orchards on land covering 17 acres. It is a haven for those who would love to get close to nature.
Kalumpang Resorts and Training Centre has more than 70 units of chalets built with both natural and modern elements. Apart from that, there are hostels for visitors who come in groups. For those who are more adventurous, campsites with tents for rent.
Apart from leisurely R&R at Kalumpang Resorts and Training Centre the place is also offering Team Building and Adventure Package, where guests will have a chance to try various activities like river tubing, abseiling, 4×4 jungle trekking ride, horseback riding and many more.
Here’s a little summary of our recent 2D1N retreat in Kalumpang Resorts and Training Centre with Tourism Malaysia Selangor.

After staying there for 2D1N with my family and friends from Tourism Malaysia Selangor, I can assure you that Kalumpang Resorts and Training Centre is not just a place for recreation, but it is also suitable for training, courses, seminars, meetings, family day and camping. Our experience was priceless, and if you are curious about those activities I mentioned above, stay tune for more. I promise you that you’ll be in for quite a treat.

seem like a great retreat travel spot here. main thing is quite close to my hometown . Been staying for more then 10 year also not realize a nice place here.
I thought you went to East Malaysia. My, I didn’t know there’s a place with the same name. Looked like a great jungle adventure you guys had. I’m more of a city traveller myself.
Oh wow.. the food is making my mouth water! Can’t say I would be crazy about the adventure part, I’m too much of a sissy, but looks like fun!
Looks like a great place to explore in Malaysia and to learn the culture of the orang asli. Hope to bring my Little Angels there.
You always explore the place very special and I like the kampung style house.
Pretty cool to be doing it a different way, the kampung way… some readers also think that it is not in Malaysia… LOL
Looks interesting.
Am actually looking at sites for camp grounds.
I heard about this place! Very peaceful and close to nature. Definitely a getaway place from busy hassle city.
The journey seems so much fun and exciting! Nature is the best way to relax and enjoy!
I’ve been here too! And yes, it is so so nice. I really love it and always make me wanted to go back. Though it’s only a day trip, it’s so memorable to do those fun activities with my friends and turn it to be a very memorable memory. 🙂
