Easy to Prepare Halal Instant Pasta: Master Pasto 3-Minute Wonder Instant Pasta

I love food and I enjoy eating very much. But I’m not much of a cook and I’m not a patient person either. If certain food takes up more than 30mins to prepare, or it takes longer to cook them than eat them, I rather not cook them up altogether. It’s too much an effort to me and I very much rather just order a delivery or opt for something simpler and less elaborated. Call me lazy, but I’m being honest. My work commitment sometimes takes up so much exertion to the point that I cannot muster much energy to care for anything else. Problems? Yes. I’m married, with a kid and husband who loves to eat at home and I have no choice but to come up with tricks that will help me produce delicious food for mealtimes with minimal efforts.

image

My latest kitchen hack: Master Pasto: 3-Minute Wonder Instant Pasta. Yes. You’re reading that right. 3 minutes and pasta in one same line. This Master Pasto: 3-Minute Wonder Instant Pasta takes only 3 minutes to prepare. Made by Lioco Food Industries Sdn. Bhd.Instant, these pasta comes in a box. They are fully cooked and no need to refrigerate. The Master Pasto: 3-Minute Wonder Instant Pasta contains no MSG and is Halal certified.

image

I got myself Master Pasto: 3-Minute Wonder Instant Pasta in 3 flavours; Spaghetti Bolognese with Chicken, Spaghetti Carbonara with Chicken and Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Chicken.

image

Each of these Master Pasto: 3-Minute Wonder Instant Pasta comes with flexy packy pouch that contains ready to eat pasta and pasta sauce.

image

To prepare the pasta is really easy and idiot-proof. If you don’t have a microwave in your kitchen like me, simply pour some water into the pan, open up the flexy pack and place the pasta and the sauce and let it simmer for 3 minutes with medium fire. Then remove it from the pan, pour into serving plate and serve. To reheat in a microwave, simply pour the contents of the flexy pack into a plate and microwave it for just 1 minute. Do make sure to pour the contents out before reheating in your microwave. The flexy pack is not microwavable, mind you.

image

Here’s my Instant Spaghetti. Looks pretty much like it’s cooked from scratch, no? This Instant Pasta taste like it’s cooked from scratch too, I assure you. It doesn’t taste funny or weird and it taste like a regular Malaysian Pasta. My family complimented me for being such a genius. I’m definitely a happy camper and would definitely buy more of this Ready To Eat Meal. It’s not only great for a quick meal at home but especially great for Muslim travelers who would like a fuss-free and Halal meal that is not only easy to prepare but is delicious and nutritious as well.

Embark on A Gastronomic Adventure in International Buffet Dinner at Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang

Fancy some international gastronomic adventure but not quite willing to fork out the commitment to fly out of the country? Fret not, ladies and gentlemen. Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang got you covered.

image

You may now enjoy the gastronomic adventure where you sample all sort of international flavours at Royale Bintang Bukit Bintang in their International Buffet Dinner. Their chefs promises a tantalizing spread of freshly prepared delicacies to satiate your culinary cravings, and here’s giving you a little peek on what they have to offer in their International Buffet Dinner.

image

Pasta Station offers various kinds of pastas, with two types of sauces; bolognese and creamy carbonara. The pastas are prepared ala-minute upon request to maintain the freshness, and so, don’t be shy, order away.

image

Their creamy carbonara is something you might want to indulge in if you are a huge fan of all things cheesy and creamy. It’s so rich and comforting on the tummy.

image

Nasi Lemak and condiments is a must try in the International Buffet.

image

The humble nasi lemak is richly flavoured with coconut milk and surprisingly good to even be had on it’s own. But of course, it can only be a perfect meal when it’s paired with a side of spicy sambal sotong, fried anchovies and some veggies. Definitely a must try, especially if you are the type who won’t give carbs a miss in your meals. This really worth every single calories you will be taking in.

image

Main course features all sorts of hot dishes. Be on the lookout for Grilled Mini Steak with Black Pepper Sauce (Western), Vegetarian Bean Curd with Dried Chillies (Chinese), Roasted Lamb Leg with Puree Green Pepper Sauce (Western), Ginger Chicken (Chinese), Pan Fried Fish with Dill Cream Sauce (Western), Butter Mix Vegetable with Raisins( Western) etc.

image

Assorted kerabu and salad are also available.

image

Two must try items from the salad counter in my opinion are these: Kerabu Mangga and Kerabu Daging. They are really appetizing and while it’s good to have them on their own, they’re great to be paired with piping hot rice as well.

image

A fan of seafood and been craving for some crustaceans? Well, satisfy your cravings at the Stir-Fried Seafood Stall. Similar to the pasta at this International Buffet, the seafood here are prepared upon order, so yes, pick what you want and get the chef to have it done with the sauce of your liking. It takes less than 10 minutes for them to get this done for you, so no worries about the waiting time.

image

My pick was the Stir fried seafood in Sour and Spicy Thai Sauce.

image

The seafood was fresh and absolutely delicious. I had two plates of this, and that alone says how good it was.

image

Fancy something refreshing after all the delicious stuff that you had? Well, make yourselves a bowl of Ais Kacang.

image

Since the Ais Kacang is a DIY kind of item at the buffet, feel free to be creative. You may include whatever you like on the topping, so go all out and don’t hold back. I know I did not. And I really like the outcome of my creativity.

image

There are plenty of seasonal local fruits at the buffet spread, so if you need some fibre in your diet, get some over here.

image

Desserts aplenty at the Royale Chulan International Buffet. Cakes and jellies, and they do not lack local kuih too. Just take your pick. They’ll satiate your sweet tooth for sure.

The Royale Chulan International Buffet Dinner is only available on Saturday, from 7pm to 10pm at Sunflower Brasserie, priced at RM78nett per adult and RM40nett per child and senior citizens.

BAAN109 Offers Muslim-Friendly Authentic Street-Food From Thailand

I’m a huge fan of Thai Lakorns. They are mostly romantic, humourous, action-packed and full of unpredictible twists. And a bonus? Thai Lakorn actor and actresses are mostly lookers that can steal your hearts. But as much as I liked Thai Lakorns, I love Thai food even more, and here’s sharing with you my newfound love; BAAN109.

image

BAAN 109. “Baan”, as written in Thai;( บ้าน ) means “Home”. And true to the meaning that it’s named after,BAAN109 serves nothing but authentic Thai street-food with the delicious flavours of home; where the food taste nothing like the junks that you get at a roadside stalls but instead taste like true Thai home-cooking.

image

Here’s sharing with you the dishes that I recently tried at BAAN109.

image

The dishes that I tried at BAAN109:

image

A specialty at BAAN 109; Jim Jum. Jim Jum is basically a dip and dunk Thai style hotpot dish where the soup base is boiled for a little while before other ingredients like meat, vegetables and seafood are added together. Most Jim Jum in Thai restaurants in Malaysia uses pork meat as the soup base but here in BAAN109, being a pork and lard-free establishment, serves the Muslim friendly version of Jim Jum instead. The Jim Jum at BAAN109 is pork and lard free and comes with a choice of chicken or chicken and seafood with a basket of mixed vegetables. The one that I tried was the Jim Jum Chicken Set that comes with a a plate of chicken slices and egg alongside with some scallops and accompanied with mix veggies. The Jim Jum was really delicious. The meat soaked up all the flavours from the meat adeptly and it was really warming on the tummy to enjoy. The best part of it all? This Jim Jum contains no MSG and everything are naturally flavoured.

image

Yam Seafood (RM 16.90). This seafood salad makes a great appetizer. It’s loaded with seafood, especially squid rings. Refreshingly sourish, this dish also leans on the spicy side, making you crave for me with each bite.

image

Nam Tok Kai Yang (RM16.90). This chicken dish is deliciously savoury and generously portioned. It’s fragrant with the scent of basil leaf. Highly recommended to those who loves flavourful dishes.

image

Goong Cher Nam Pla (RM16.90). Among all the items offered on BAAN109 menu, I find this very unsightly and repulsive at first glance. Goong Cher Nam Pla is actually a raw dish where raw prawns are served with salad and Thai sauce. But never judge food on how they look. This may not be love at the first sight for me but after being coaxed to eat them, I immediately took a liking to them and gobble them up one after another.

image

The Goong Cher Nam Pla is absolutely delicious and addictive and those who likes to eat raw food should give this a try.

image

Fancy some snacks and things to munch on during your meal? Or just want something light? Grab some assorted fried stuff that’s on BAAN109 menu, then. The En Kai Tod (Deep fried chicken soft bone), Kai Del Deow (Deep fried chicken meat) and Nam Kai (fried chicken marinated with special soy sauce) are simply irresistible on the palate. They are all great on their own, but do feel free to pair them up with the Thai sauces provided for more zing to your snacking.

image

Want some carbs? Get some that’s worth all your calories intake. BAAN109 offers a selection of MAMA noodles and here are some that came highly recommended; MAMA Seafood Noodle (RM9.90), MAMA Nam Chicken Noodle (RM12.90) and MAMA BBQ Chicken Noodle(RM12.90). They are not only delicious but comfortingly satisfying as well. They make a good quick wholesome meal if you’re famished or in a rush.

image

No Thai meal is complete without washing them down with a glass of Cha Yen (Thai style iced tea). The Cha Yen offered at BAAN109 is concocted and brewed to cater to Malaysian palate. The Cha Yen is rich but is not cloyingly sweet than those you usually get in Thailand. Definitely a refreshing and a welcoming change to end the meal with.

image

Overall, dining at BAAN109 is highly enjoyable. And the best part? The meals at BAAN109 is reasonably priced and affordable. The pricing that I’ve written were taken off from the menu for your reference. However, BAAN109 is offering 20% discounts for their Jim Jum set menu and their Mee MAMA right at the moment, so keep your eyes peeled for that when you’re ordering.

Celebrate Chinese New Year 2019 with Imperial Treasures at Utara Coffee House, Armada Hotel PJ

Chinese New Year is all about catching up with your family and friends to share the joy of family life and kinship. It is all about putting work aside for a little while and enjoy the warmth of home. And of course, being Malaysians, it is also about food as well and Chinese New Year is usually celebrated over a variety of food at the table as family and friends gets together. Yes, basically the Chinese New Year scene in Malaysia is all about gathering and enjoying food together but accomplishing the actual scene can be quite a feat, especially if you’re planning for a large gathering. But fret not, I know a place that offers the taste of home, away from home this Chinese New Year; Utara Coffee House, Armada Hotel PJ.

image

Chef Chew and his team at Utara Coffee House has prepared a variety of Chinese New Year offerings perfect to welcome the new Year of the Boar. From 1st January till 4th February 2019, Utara Coffee House buffet line will be featuring a wide variety of auspicious dishes for Chinese New Year reunion with their Imperial Treasures offerings and here’s sharing with you some of the highlights:

image

Prosperity Yee Sang with Crustacean Coral Oyster. Sweet, sour with umami and plenty of crunch, this yee sang will surely win the hearts of many. And so, grab a portion or two and toss all the way into good luck and prosperity with your family and friends this Chinese New Year.

image

Herbal Chicken Consommé with Dried Scallop is sweet and savoury at the same time. This soup will not only bring quick comfort to your growling tummy, but every drop of it will nourish you as well.

image

Pak Far Chicken. Crispy on the outside, flavourful and juicy on the inside. A chicken dish that will warrant for seconds, I must say.

image

Thai Style Deep Fried Garoupa. What’s a Chinese New Year’s meal without fishes that signifies abundance of luck? I’m not a huge fan of fishes but I vouch for this fish dish. The Thai Style Deep Fried Garoupa is deliciously cooked to perfection and paired with a drizzle of sweet and spicy Thai sauce. Great on it’s own, but if you must pair this with a bowl of piping hot rice, then why not? Go ahead and indulge.

image

Yong Chow Fried Rice in Lotus Leaf may look bland and uninteresting, but I assure you that looks can be deceiving. Among all of the dishes featured so far, this one’s pretty lethal to those who are on a diet, I kid you not. It’s embarassing to admit but I practically had 4 bowls of this in one sitting and had no actual intention to stop. The fried rice reminds me of something that I usually get from my grandma’s kitchen. It’s just a simple dish but it was so perfectly flavoured. Definitely a must try.

image

Chinese Fried Chap Chye with Mushrooms is refreshingly humble but delicious. The vegetables used in this dish is the sweet and ‘meaty’ kind and I daresay even those who don’t fancy vegetable dishes wouldn’t mind having this.

image

Wok fried Tiger Prawn with Buttered Coconut Almond Flakes . Signifying plenty of laughter and happiness throughout the year, prawn dishes is another must have at a Chinese New Year’s meal. The wok fried tiger prawn dish at Utara Coffee House is surprisingly sweet and addictive. Another must try, so do save some space in your tummy for this.

image

Stir-fried Kam Heong Mussels. I’m not a huge fan of mussels. Their taste is usually overwhelming, but done in spicy kam heong sauce, I find this one’s not only tolerable, but pleasing on the palate as well.

image

Mochi filled with various fillings is a must try if you have sweet tooth. These little balls does not disappoint.

image

Deep-fried Nein Koa. A Chinese New Year’s special. Crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside, this snack-like dessert makes a perfect pair with a pot of Chinese tea.

image

Chilled Mango Puree with Pomelo and Pearl Sago provides a sweet end to your meal, so be sure to have some of these. Not only it’s refreshing, but helps to cleanse your palate as well.

Another indulgence that should not be missed is the braised Treasure Pot of goodness that is also known as ‘Poon Choy’. Deep in flavor and fragrance, the Treasure Pot is available to order in-house and as a take-away at RM428+.

Buffet Dinner is priced at RM90+ per adult, RM72+ for senior citizens and RM45+ per child.

Fruitti Veggie Yee Sang (vegetarian)- RM78+ per portion

Althea X Titi Kamal Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist

Unlike most ladies, I’m not quite a huge fan of perfumes. Sure, I like smelling fresh all day long but most scents does not agree with me and most perfumes smell really strong and will not only make me sneeze but will make my skin itch as well. And so when I was given this Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist by Althea X Titi Kamal, I was feeling apprehensive to try it out.

image

This Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist is basically a body mist produced as a result of the colloborative effort between Althea and Titi Kamal, an Indonesian actress who were shot to stardom after her role in Indonesia’s best films from the 2000s, ‘Ada Apa Dengan Cinta’. Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist promises to deliver fragrance that help ladies to stay fresh and smelling sweet all day long, but I honestly left this Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist by Althea X Titi Kamal aside for a little while. I was afraid that it will make me sneeze again like other fragrances and colognes that I’ve tried before.

I seriously wasn’t looking forward to all the sneezing and the itchiness that never failed to happen whenever I tried some perfumes, I must say but I decided to take a sniff of it nevertheless after reading so much positive reviews about it on the Internet, and I am really glad that I decided to give it a go instead of just leaving it on my dresser to gather dust.

image

Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist by Althea X Titi Kamal smell really sweet and is quite subtle in comparison to other body mists, colognes and perfumes that I’ve tried before in the past. This body mist gives off fruity scents of peach, orange and a hint of roses. It smell surprisingly delicious and upon spraying it on, it feels really pleasant instead of prickling on my sensitive nose. Unlike most perfumes and cologne, Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist by Althea X Titi Kamal is really subtle on the senses and it really does keep you smelling sweet and fresh all day long as promised.

image

It may not be a love at first sight for me, but I’m now a devoted user. I’m not only spraying it on my clothes and body but my hair as well as it helps me to smell deliciously sweet without making me sneeze my nose off. Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist by Althea X Titi Kamal is now a permanent resident in my handbag and have been my faithful companion whenever I’m out and about and I’ll definitely stock up on this soon. I highly recommend this Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist by Althea X Titi Kamal, especially for those who are sensitive towards fragrances. This one is quite subtle and it might agree with you too.

This body mist is exclusively available on Althea . For more info and current promo on Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist by Althea X Titi Kamal, head over HERE

Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser Review

So, the kind Mr. Postman dropped this in my mail a couple of weeks ago; Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser. It’s another one of their newly released exclusive product.

image

Now, I’m not much a skincare or a makeup addict and I don’t know much about them, but the name itself somewhat confuses me at first glance. ‘Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser’. So what is it exactly? A serum? A Cleanser? Or a toner? The name itself is abit of a mixed up for me, but that’s exactly what it is. Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is actually that; both cleanser and a serum. It promises to clean away your makeup, dirt, and oil with mint extracts while ensuring the skin stays cool and hydrated, effectively minimizes enlarged pores and as a result, keeping it smooth to the touch. Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser also helps to balance the pH levels of the skin and therefore, it’s great for all skin types, even for those sensitive skins. The Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is really easy to use. To use it as a cleanser, simply dampen the skin and apply on a small amount of Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser and massage onto the skin in circular motions for 5-10 seconds gently before rinsing off with water. To use it as a makeup remover, simply dab some on cotton and use it on dry face to wipe off dirt, sunblock, and makeup.

image

Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser main ingredients are Mint Leaf Extract that cools down the skin and soothes irritations; Jojoba Seed Oil that deeply moisturizes, and Tea Tree Leaf Extract which has antibacterial properties that helps to purify the skin. Another prominent ingredient is Citric Acid which is known to have anti-aging benefit. Pretty cool, right? The Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is not overly scented either. It has a really mild citrus smell that’s barely there, and I really like it.

image

Check out the makeup removal effect. I’m quite amazed that it removes makeup effortlessly. I barely wiped off my matte lipstick and it went off like it was never there. So this is definitely a plus point for those who wants intense cleansing.

I can’t really say much about this Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser for now, as honestly, I just used this for two weeks, give or take. I cannot say that really helps to minimize enlarged pores yet but I can honestly say that it leaves my skin very clean, soft, smooth, and moisturized and I would recommend this to be used even by those who are always busy and constantly on the move. This product is great for those who can’t be bothered with elaborated skincare regime. Both adults and teenagers can benefit from this as Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser somehow gives great result with minimal efforts.

The Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is available exclusively on Althea HERE.

Buy Chinese New Year’s Hampers Online From Koyara Online Health Store

Festive season never fails to overwhelm me. There’s so much expected of me and there’s so many things that I need to prepare ahead. I don’t mean to sound so negative about it but seriously, as much as I like how much joy and family togetherness all the festive season brings, the festive season expectations can be very exhausting. There’s so many things to do, so many things to shop for and so many people to please. Christmas and new year’s 2019 celebration is barely over and now I’m already fretting over preparing for Chinese New Year. Already? Yes. Already. In all honesty, it’s the first week of January and Chinese New Year is just less than a month away and it’s time for me to make preparations for it.

Chinese New Year is a big thing for my family. Being married to a man who puts so much importance on family ties, Chinese New Year is all about being together and catching up with family, friends and acquaintances during Chinese New Year’s holiday, and my husband strictly adhere to tradition of visiting his relatives and friends during the first few days of Chinese New Year. The Chinese called it “Bai Nian” and whenever we go around visiting, be it relatives or friends, it’s a must that we don’t visit empty handed. It’s considered rude to “Bai Nian” to people’s house without bringing gifts, and as usual, like the years before, I’m in charge of preparing gifts to bring during our annual “Bai Nian” activities. What I usually prepare for those we’ll be visiting are hampers.

Preparing hamper gift may sound like a simple thing, but trust me, it’s harder than it sounds. The Chinese is all about getting lucky and prosperous during Chinese New Year and the items included in the hamper must reflect that. Reasons why I painstakingly handpick the items for the hampers is because I don’t really like the content from most hampers out there. This is because most of them are quite unhealthy and contain junks like sweet biscuits and chocolates, which is a no no for elderly people. Most of those I’ll be visiting has high blood pressure, diabetic, and need to watch their cholesterol level. Out of consideration for the hamper receivers, it is always safer to handpick some healthy and nutritious food made using organic, natural products.

I usually will personally select some healthy and auspicious goodies to be included in the gift hampers for those we’ll be visiting and then wrap it all up, but this year, I decided that it’s time to make my life easier and simplify things a little by getting the gift hampers from Koyara instead.

If you haven’t heard about it, Koyara is a one-stop Online Health Store that you can rely on whenever you need to shop for health products. The products sold at Koyara are also organic. The best part about Koyara is that they are offering premium grade items at a very reasonable price. Koyara boasts the largest variety of natural products ranging from food to personal care. They are looking to expand in to Vitamins, Sports Nutrition, Supplements, and even Traditional Chinese Medicine in the near future and right now, they are offering the convenience of buying Chinese New Year Hampers online and I cannot think of anything more auspicious than getting CNY Hampers that includes organic products helps to bring health to the receiver.

image

Check out the CNY hamper that I recently got from Koyara. This is the Eternal Beauty CNY hamper, customized especially for ladies. The hamper consists of 4 bottles of Nourishing Bird’s Nest, Dried Sweet Ginger,Gula Melts, Coconut Nectar Glass Bottle, Rainforest Herbs, Virgin Coconut Oil, Love Earth Beauty Oats, Natural Red Dates and Mountain Ginseng. Yup. All the items that helps to you to rejuvenate and retain youthfully is all in there and guess what? This Eternal Beauty CNY Hamper from Koyara is sold at just RM318. The Best of Kelantanese Delicacies at Fatimah Food Cafe, Kuala Lumpur

Craving for Kelantanese food? There are plenty of places in Kuala Lumpur that serves Kelantanese cuisines or delicacies from the East Coast of Malaysia but if you are looking for those that are not only authentic but decently priced, there’s one place that I would highly recommend you to go to; the Fatimah Food Cafe.

image

Founded by Datuk Abd Ghani Salleh and his wife, the cafe was named in honour of his beloved mother-in-law. This restaurant has been in operation for the past three years and has received encouraging response, especially from Menara MARA tenants and nearby offices.

image

Conveniently located at Level 4 of Busana@Menara MARA (Primiera Hotel Kuala Lumpur) in Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman in Kuala Lumpur, the cafe focuses on serving the best of Kelantanese delicacies.

image

Their menu is pretty impressive, and here’s highlighting what’s worth your calories over there; Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang, Laksam and Nasi Lemak.

image

Nasi Kerabu is one of the many popular dish which is mostly served at the East Coast of Malaysia. Literally translated as rice salad and this dish usually comes with blue coloured rice and all sort of ulams (Malay herbs and vegetables) and meat floss with a touch of the budu and sambal on top of it. The correct way to enjoy the Nasi Kerabu is by mixing the rice and the condiments of ‘ulam’, sauce and whatever meat floss/coconut floss together well as if you would do with a Western Salad before eating them up. This is simply a divine and wholesome treat that actually helps you cleanse your palate and helps you with your disgestion, but not everyone will like the minty and herbal scents that came from the ‘ulam’. I used to hate this rice dish as a child, but as I grew older, I come to appreciate the taste and the novel experience and crave for a good plate of Nasi Ulam Kelantan every now and then. The one served in Fatimah Food Cafe is one of the best Nasi Kerabu in Kuala Lumpur I’ve tasted so far.

image

Nasi Dagang is a Malay traditional dish that consists of rice steamed in coconut milk, fish curry and acar (pickled cucumber and carrots) on the side. It is a well-known breakfast food in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia and also popular in southern Thai provinces like Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. I can’t really tell you how this dish taste like as I gave this a miss during my visit to Fatimah Food Cafe in favour of their Nasi Kerabu, but seeing my friends polishing their Nasi Dagang off from their plate assures me that the Nasi Dagang should be good as well.

image

Laksam, also known as Laksei in Kelantan and Laksang in Terengganu is a type of rolled noodles dish that originates from Kelantan and Terengganu. Laksam noodles made from rice flour and eaten with creamy gravy. In comparison to other varieties of traditional noodles in Malaysia, Laksam is pretty much a rare find, especially if you are living in Kuala Lumpur. Fatimah Food Cafe serves pretty good Laksam; with flavourful and creamy gravy that tasted so rich on the palate, so if you are craving for a nice bowl of authentic Laksam, Fatimah Food Cafe is definitely the place that you’ll need to drop by.

image

Nasi Lemak, the all time favourite Malaysian coconut milk rice dish is also available here at the cafe for those who prefers something that they are familar with instead of the Kelantanese delicacies.

image

Assorted tidbits and snacks like traditional Malay cookies, meat floss and bottled sambals are also sold here at Fatimah Food Cafe.

image

Hot Honey Lemon Drink is highly recommended beverage over here. Sweet, sourish and soothing, the concoction also provides nourishment for the body and is especially great to combat heaty body as well as sore throat.

image

What’s interesting about Datuk Abd Ghani Salleh is that apart from being passionate about food, he is also a huge fan of travel and fashion. Wishing to share his interest with likeminded people, Datuk Abd Ghani Salleh opens the First Time Around boutique. The boutique is located just next to Fatimah Food Cafe, at level 4 of Busana@Menara MARA. According to Datuk Abd Ghani Salleh, traveling overseas is exciting and he will usually take the opportunity to bring back fancy and rare accessories from abroad to sell in the First Time Around Boutique.

image

The boutique is unique and different from other competiting boutiques in Busana@Menara MARA. First Time Around offers tees in fanciful prints and daring patterns that cannot be found elsewhere. Women’s bags are also sold here at reasonable prices. The range of leather bag is priced between RM100-300 and PVC / PU bag is below RM100.

image

Visiting the boutique with my son after our meal at Fatimah Food Cafe proves to be highly rewarding. These are our fashionable finds, beautiful tees in black with floral prints and artful patterns.

image

What do you think? Isn’t this cool? The T- shirt price is pretty much affordable and starts from RM40 per piece.

image

I have always been a glutton and a little vain pot, and being able to indulge in great food and fashion at the same time is like having the best of both worlds and I highly recommend this place not only for foodies but for fashion junkies as well.

Fantastic Friday Night Poolside Dining at Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang BBQ Night Galore Buffet

It’s been a long working week and looking forward to chillax at the end of the week with family and friends but not sure where to go?

image

Head over to Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang, then.

image

Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang is offering BBQ Night Galore Buffet, and at the poolside at that.

image

BBQ-based dishes are available at the Barbeque Pit area

image

Among the must try are the Marinated Chicken Wings, Mixed Grilled Fishes and seafood as well as Otak-Otak.

image

At the carvery section, roasted beef and lamb can be spotted. A must try for meat lovers.

image

Not that into meat? Just go for the roasted chicken and vegetables instead.

image

Among the featured menu, one that caught my interest is the Mongolian barbeque. If you are into strong tasting or strongly flavoured meat, just pile this up onto your plate. You’ll never regret the calory intakes, I assure you.

image

Pasta counter is available as well, and it’s prepared ala minute to ensure that it’s still piping hot upon arrival to your table.

image

Dishes that can be made into accompanying sides to all the barbequed dishes is also available. Notable ones are fried rice, fried chicken, creamy corn on cobs, baked cheesy tomatoes and roasted garden vegetables.

image

Loyal to your greens? Well, fret not. Salad counter awaits you to assemble and customize a bowl of your own.

image

Seafood on ice consisting of freshwater prawns and mussels is also available at the salad counter for those who wants something that’s not grilled over the fire and naturally sweet.

image

Craving for something sweet and cooling? Well then, simply head over to the ais kacang booth and make your own.

image

A bowl of ais kacang will surely warrant another, especially after all the heavy meat intakes.

image

Desserts aplenty at the BBQ buffet dinner. A saving grace for those with sweet tooth, I must say.

image

Whether you’re a fan of cakes or puddings, they have it all.

Dining can get no better than this, I reckon. What’s better than to enjoy great companion and unlimited food, and on top of that, great ambiance as well? My overall dining experience at Pergola poolside during the BBQ Night Galore is splendid, and if you’re looking for a great start to a fantastic weekend ahead, you might want to consider starting it with this.
